Addressing the Region’s Shortage of Nurses

In celebration of National Nurses Week, U.S. Congressman Elijah Cummings joined CareFirst in presenting a $125,000 grant to Howard Community College to help fund at least 50 scholarships for low- and middle-income students studying to become nurses, emergency medical technicians and other health care professionals.
