As a not-for-profit health plan and the largest organization of its type in the region, we recognize our role in improving the quality of and access to health care for the communities we serve.
Since the inception of CareFirst Commitment, a multi-pronged approach to address health care needs in our community, we’ve made significant strides in addressing the most important health care issues.
While we focus our charitable giving on health-related causes, we maintain the flexibility to address special needs in our community and beyond.
Through CareFirst Commitment and other charitable giving from 2005 to 2009, we have dedicated more than $175 million to worthwhile programs and organizations.
Our commitment to the people and communities we serve is strong — and we are devoted to making it even stronger in the future.
