How to Apply for a Grant
The grant process is administered by the CareFirst’s Office of Public Policy and Community Affairs. Please follow these steps in submitting a grant application:
- Confirm that your request is consistent with funding priorities and requirements established by the CareFirst Board of Directors.
- All applications must be submitted online using the Grant Application link at the Apply Online Now portal available on this and every page of the CareFirst Community website.
How Grant Applications Are Processed
Grant Applications are accepted online throughout the calendar year. Upon receipt, applications are reviewed and an acknowledgement of receipt is sent to the applicant.
The review and approval process takes about 4 to 8 weeks. Requests for grants of $100,000 or more take longer – usually about 12 weeks.
